 The Foundation Laid for Shiv Shakti Sangam by RSS Western
Maharashtra Prant

“The might of the Hindu society was never for the destruction
while it is only reassuring to the virtuous ones. It gives inspiration to the
evils to become virtuous. Shiv SHakti Sangam is a manifestation of the power of
such virtuous people,” said Shri. Bhaiyyaji Joshi, the Sarkaryvah of the
Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh. He was speaking at the occasion of foundation
laying for the coming Shiv Shakti Sangam organized by the RSS Western
Maharashtra Prant. The foundation was laid by the hands of Swami Swaroopanand
Sarswati of Sagar Ashram, Phulgaon at village Marunji near Hinjewadi, Pune. RSS
Prant Sanghchalak Nana Jadhav, Pune Mahanagar Sanghchalak Bapu Ghatpande, other
functionaries of the RSS and other dignitaries were present at the occasion.
The ceremony was officiated by the priests coming from the deprived classes of
the society, especially from Mochi and Matang communities, who were trained in
priesthood.
Speaking
at the occasion, Shri. Joshi said, “The power of the virtuous ones stands only
when the evil is finished. RSS is working to create power of the virtuous for
the last 90 years. RSS is not limited now to any particular caste, particular
region nor is it confined to urban areas and the work of RSS has reached to all
strata of the society. This same youth power is the answer to all problems in
the country”.
Swami
Swaroopanand Sarswati said, “Organization is needed to bring together the Hindu
society which is divided in castes and creeds. Hence, the programs like Shiv
Shakti Sangam are the need of the hour.”
In
his introduction, Prant Karyvah Vinayakrao Thorat said that The Sanghik of the
RSS, so big as this, is taking first time in Pune after the camp was held at
Taljai in 1983. Thorat told the gathering that in view of the drought situation
in the state, the Swayamsevaks of the RSS are involved in collecting funds as
well as starting fodder camps through the Jankalyan Samiti. Thorat said that
45,475 individuals have completed online registration till now for the Shiv
Shakti Sangam. General Manager of the Sangam Kailash Sontakke informed about
the different arrangements in the camp and departments working for these
arrangements.

Swayamsevaks
to come from 7 government districts in Western Maharashtra. Program to be held
in a total of 450 acres area of which 150 acres will be for parking, one tent
for the 2000 Swayamsevaks which will be spread on a total area of 12 lakh sq.
ft.. Along with rest rooms and kitchen, 200 doctors and 20 ambulances will be
there. 40 LED screen, 21 meters high flag mast, seating arrangement for 50000
persons will be made. Demonstration of more than 2000 Ghosh players (Band). The
appearance of the whole area will be like land fort in Western Maharashtra
while entrance gates will be named after selected 13 forts. Security
arrangement by CCTV cameras, watch towers, entire area will be Wi-fi enabled
and guidance centers will be at Pune and Pimpri Chinchwad to avoid traffic
jams.
Puneites
to provide food:- Plan is to collect food from the out of Pune Swayamsevaks
from every home in Pune and Pimpri Chinchwad
and thereby
contacting more and more families through this way. 7500 workers are to work in
the arrangement department for this entire exercise.
Names
of the priests from deprived classes who officiated the ceremony coming from
Solapur and Ahmednagar districts. :- Manik Jangam, Mallesh Paraute, Shrinivas
Pallolu, Prabhakar Adgale, Mallikarjun Bangare, Tuljaram Kadmanchi, Nagraj
Mandolu.
