ABVP and EBST (Elaya Bharatham
Seva Trust) organized an inaugural function of ‘Student Development Centre’ at
Dharmaprakash, Chennai on August 28.
Poojaneeya Swami Brahmayoganandha of Yogashanthi Gurukulam blessed the ‘Samarpanam’
of building – dedication for nation building.
Explaining in detail the parampara of our country Bharat, he highlighted
how ABVP focuses to instil dharma in the society by fighting the social evils.
He also emphasized the need to work internally to cultivate, enhance and attain
the character that our Vedas prescribe to every one of us. Shri Sunil Ambekar, All India Organizing
Secretary, ABVP extended his best wishes for the new office in Tamilnadu. He further stated that the ABVP membership
has grown in lakhs (now 32 lakh plus) and highlighted on the changes seen in
the students’ mentality. Shri Nagesh
Thakur, All India President ABVP presided over the function and extended his
best wishes to the Samarpanam of new building.
Shri Dattatreya Hosabale, National Joint General Secretary, RSS in his
special address emphasized that mere brick and mortar (though most important)
would not fulfill the mission of ABVP.
Being a significant day, the ‘Students Development Centre’ will be a
centre for inspiration. We should
re-dedicate ourselves to the cause of making Bharat a Vishwa Guru by training
every student to become a better citizen.
Prof. Subbiah ABVP welcomed the gathering. Shri Nagendiran rendered vote of thanks. Maa Suriyanarayana Rao, Dr. Subbiah, Shri
Lakshmanan, Shri Senthil and Sangh adhikaris were present.
