the world today’ – a power point presentation explaining the rich heritage and
contribution of Indians especially Tamil people to the world. The session was

Medical University, Chennai highlighted the evils of consuming liquor and
appealed to the students to fight against this.
Sri Tamilaruvi Manian, Gandhiya Makkal Iyakkam, gave an elaborate speech
on the inaction of the Government in regulating the liquor shops. Raising his
allegation against the Government of Tamilnadu selling liquor through 6800 Tamilnadu
State Marketing Corporation (TASMAC) shops in the State, wherein
the age group of 14 to 35 are most affected, he stressed vigil among students
is the need of the hour.

In the concluding
session, Sri Anand, State Organising Secretary, ABVP called upon the youth to
plunge into action for betterment of the society in the present scenario.
Around 260
representatives from 40 colleges in 14 districts attended the State
Conference. The conference ended with a
national song ‘Vande Mataram’.
