‘Yaar Thamizhan’ (Who is a Tamilian?) – this topic was the talk among people in Salem last week. Hindu Munnani organized a Conference wherein around 5000 Hindu Munnani volunteers participated. This conference highlighted the greatness of Tamils and Tamil people. The perils of conversion, Islamic terrorism, Naxal Terrorism, anti-Hindu hostility taken by political parties were discussed in the conference.
Hindu Munnani State Secretary, Kadeshwara C Subramaniam, State Organiser Bakthavatsalam, State Secretary Na. Murughanandam and other State and district office bearers participated in the convention.
The conference at Salem passed the following resolutions:
1. Temple entry fee should be revoked by the Government
2. Primary education in regional language Tamil to be compulsory
3. Strongly oppose the Government’s intention to stop the Temple festivals carried traditionally.
In Kanyakumari, Hindu Munnani while proceeding to Rath yathra marking 100th year of founder Thaanulinga Naadar, volunteers were truncated by police. Next day, Hindu Munnani protested a demo wherein around 900 volunteers participated.
8th Hindu Munnani Coimbatore Conference was held at Satyamangalam. Huge crowd of nearly 20000 volunteers gathered at the Conference. The following resolutions were passed in the conference.
1. Revoke temple entry fee
2. Remove ban on Jallikattu
3. Ban new construction of prayer halls, churches
4. Oppose and
5. To save the dignity and pride of ‘election’, voting people should be awakened not to receive money.

Shri Ramagopalan releasing an Android APP for Hindu Munnani
An Android APP updating the activities of Hindu Munnani was released by Shri Rama Gopalan Ji. A special FB page (Hindu Pengal Paadukaapu Maiyam) focussing women’s security and bringing awareness in the State was also started.
