Vigilant Hindus leads to TV Channel to apologize

regional Tamil Channel provoked for a controversial debate, titling ‘Deepavali –
Is it a National Function’?, on the day of Diwali, hurting the sentiments of
Hindus across the society.  Hundreds of
Hindu activists staged a protest demo in front of Puthiya Thalaimurai demanding
for apology.  Sri Parameswaran, State President,
Hindu Munnani along with Sri R Krishnamurthy, Sri S S Murugesan, Sri Ravindran,
Sri Manoharan, City Secretary met the CEO and demanded apology.  CEO said apologetically that the programme
aired was not to hurt the sentiments of Hindus and carried an apologetic scroll
in their Channel.
