Traditionally RSS has been conducting route march (Pada Sanchalan) on Tamil New Year’s day for nearly 4 decades at a single location. Due to law and order problem, it was decentralized and conducted during Vijayadhasami day at district level over the years.
This year it has been planned to conduct the Route March, district wise, to coincide with the Republic Day celebrations. It has been planned to take Bhagwa flag along with National flag in the route march along with sangh band.
PS – Route march participants (age 15 and above) would be in Sangh Ganavesh (uniform) – Khakhi Shorts, White full sleeve shirt, Black Cap, Brown Belt, Khakhi socks and Black shoes.
The route march is planned at the following locations
North Chennai
Venue : Rajasthan Ground – Elephant Gate
Timing : 26th Jan, 4:15PM
Central Chennai
Venue : Near Joint Office – Ayanavaram
Timing : 26th Jan, 4:30PM
South Chennai
Venue : Near Mylapore Kapaleeshwarar Temple
Timing : 26th Jan, 4:30PM
Kindly be present on the occasion with the Ganavesh 30mins prior to the start of the Pada Sanchalan.
