is organizing an All India Conference of School Principals from 11th to 14th
February 2016 in New Delhi. Principals of more than 1,300 senior secondary

Minister Shri Narendra Modi will address the principals at Vigyan Bhavan, New
Delhi on 12th February 2016 at 4 p.m. Earlier on the same day, Smt Smriti Zubin
Irani, Minister of Human Resources Development, will address the conference at
10 a.m. at Mahashay Chunnilal Saraswati Bal Mandir, New Delhi.

Rashtriya Mantri (National Secretary) Sh. Shiv Kumar shared the details of the
program with the media at a press briefing at New Delhi today. Sh. Shiv Kumar
was accompanied by Rashtriya Mahamantri (general secretary) Sh. Lalit Bihari
Goswami and Rashriya Seh-Sangathan Mantri (National Joint Organising Secretary)
Sh. Kashipati.

program with the media at a press briefing at New Delhi today. Sh. Shiv Kumar

Kumar told the media that the main purpose of the four-day All India Conference
is to discuss the role of school principals in the context of society and
education – To develop a society wherein children grow up to be ideal citizens
on the basis of their grooming in schools.

Bihari Goswami stated that Vidya Bharti is a national-level organization
working in the education sector. Vidya Bharti’s mission is to develop such a
national education system in which the students grow up into patriotic and
well-rounded personalities. The young generation should be physically,
spiritually and mentally strong so that it can face the toughest of challenges
life can present. The young generation should be committed to creating a
society free from prejudice, injustice and exploitation; to elevating the lives
of underprivileged and downtrodden people living in slums, villages and
far-flung areas of the nation.
Bihari Goswami stated that Vidya Bharti is a national-level organization
working in the education sector. Vidya Bharti’s mission is to develop such a
national education system in which the students grow up into patriotic and

Sh. Kashipati told media
persons that Vidya Bharti runs 12,363 formal schools in the country, with a
combined strength of 32,06,212 students, 1,35,500 teachers, 3 lakh
academicians, 25 lakh parents/guardians and 15 lakh alumni. Besides formal
education, Vidya Bharti also runs 12,001 single-teacher schools and Sanskar Kendras
in jhuggi bastis and other sensitive areas, where 11,143 teachers are
dedicatedly imparting education and values to 2,45,403 children.
