Ranchi, Apr 18 RSS chief Mohan Bhagwat today said the Sangh was an ”open book” with no hidden political agenda and always desired to see a strong and vibrant India. “Don”t believe in hearsay about the Sangh. The entry and exit gates of Sangh are free; associate with it, feel it and know it from inside,” Bhagwat said while addressing a programme organised by the RSS. Asserting that the Sangh had no intention to put anybody in power or pull them down, the Hindu ideologue said the only goal of the Sangh was to serve the common man and strengthen unity in diversity. “We have our ”sakhas” in the open; our patriotic songs have also been picked up in some entertainment programmes but it does not mean that the RSS is a musical centre or is a military force.

We want to live for the nation and die for the nation,” he added. Bhagwat said Hindutva had always extended a ”hand of friendship” and has strived to knit society with its mantra of universal brotherhood to make the nation strong and vibrant.

He, however, opposed providing reservation on religious ground and termed it ”vote bank politics”.
