Been to Kashmir for a five days package. Kashmir is quiet but ruled by Army and they are guarding important junctions. Jammu highway to Kashmir 250 km long is like our six lane well maintained toll road with continuous traffic. 
Kashmir is flooded with tourists and the locals get lot of business for which they have been craving. It’s brimming. Hotels and houseboats are full. They welcome tourists.
Sankaracharya temple attracts good crowd. But find few in kheer bhawani temple. But there is heavy crowd in every tourist locations. Waiting four hours for cable car. The horse ride is also getting heavy crowd and they suck our money like anything. But happy that we find people from across the country.
But there is silence. Could find only a few Hindu shops on the way.
Seeing army everywhere may irritate the people. But then there is no way. The government should win the hearts of the people. BRO constructed good road facility everywhere and there is going to be 25 km tunnel at kargil area. Lots of development work going on.
But then no local government. They may look for election without knowing the background of the leaders. Don’t know.
The need of the government is to publicize the development wor
k in the last few years.
There is no cinema Hall.
This is my observation. Couldn’t speak to people here . Not able to know their feelings. IPL is attracting.
It’s ideal time to start bridging. Kashmir is 100% Muslim.
The tapas of Sankaracharya should save Kashmir from Islam.
