New Delhi. It is known that some farmer brotherhood from Punjab, Haryana and Western U.P. are protesting at the border of national capital Delhi against recently brought three agricultural laws by central government. Although fifth round of talks couldn’t bring breakthrough, union agricultural minister showed the willingness to bring amendments in the existing laws and further both the parties agreed to continue the dialogue on December 9th.

Albeit farmer leader agreed to continue the dialogue on 9th December, they simultaneously announced Bharat Bandh on 8th December (All India Strike).

Meanwhile the country has been well acquainted with the fact that by alternate legislation, Government of Punjab has already nullified the central laws and restored the condition prior to 5th June; then also why are farmers from Punjab are demanding to repeal the central laws?

Bhartiya Kisan Sangh has already demanded that these three bills should not be repealed but be implemented with some amendments as MSP, Guaranteed payment of farmers, separate Agri. Courts and others in the country various farming stakeholders which are growing different agricultural crops would be benefitted by these laws. Therefore, we cannot support the protest against repealing of these laws.

As yet, this demonstration is going on in a silent manner; however, it is evident that certain anti-social elements, external forces and some political parties are manoeuvring this demonstration towards acrimony. It is feared that the sad incidence of Mandsaur of 2017 should not be repeated where six farmers were shot dead and heavy casualties to property and life was evidenced. The leaders of that movement eventually became the legislatures and ministers in the government while, the families of the martyrs were ruined and living in vagaries. Such demonstrations always prove detrimental to the nation and to the farmers.

Therefore, Bhartiya Kisan Sangh has decided to remain aloof of 8th Decembers Bharat Bandh call (All India call) and appeal its members all over the country to be attentive and alert the fellow citizens so that any un-to-do incidence may be avoided. We hope that the nation and the farming fraternity will sincerely cooperate to with Bhartiya Kisan Sangh.

General Secretary,

Bhartiya Kisan Sangh
