A walk around a Hill, talking about the family
A programme under the banner “Kutumbha Prabodhan” ook place at Thiruvannamalai on 3rd and 4th September 2011 in which 21 families consisting of 68 persons (including 21 ladies), attended. Ma. Shri. N. Krishnappa ji took part in the programme. After having darshan in the temple, all of them took part in the Girivalam (Giripradhakshinam) — a circumambulation (parikrama) of 14 kms around the sacred Annamalai hill considered as Lord Shiva himself. There were 3 halts in which Ma. Krishnappa ji guided the families about family values, the need for meeting of family members, the samskaras to be inculcated to the younger generation etc. There was a lively interaction. All the family members understood about their role. In one of the halts, which was held in the house of a DMK Councilor was overwhelmed by the presence of so many persons from different parts of Uttar Tamilnadu. He also actively participated in the discussion that took place in his house.
In the concluding session, all the families agreed to hold weekly meeting of family members and visit 5 families every fortnight to spread the message of “Kutumbha Prabodhan”. Prantha Pracharak Sri Bakthavatsalam Ji, Saha Prantha Pracharak Sri P M Ravikumar Ji, Prantha Boudhik Pramukh Sri Prasad Ji took part in the programme.
