Pastor Victor Jesudasan arrested for swindling money by fraudulent activites

Victor Jesudasan (58), a pastor from Vellore has been arrested for cheating people and swindling money in the name of providing scholarships to children’s education.

Kumar, a small labourer andresident of Kangeyanallur next to Katpadi in Vellore district with two children was struggling financially to educate his children. Hearing and believing on a trust run by Pastor Victor Jesudasan in Salavanpet which says as helping children with scholarship, Kumar approached Pastor for help.

Kumar was told that it would cost Rs.20000/- to get scholarship and gave the money to Victor. Since no money or scholarship came from Pastor, Kumar questioned Pastor and found that he was cheated.  Kumar filed a complaint with Vellore DIG seeking justice.  When police-initiated investigation based on complaint, they found that Pastor swindled money with such fraudulent activities from 10 such people in and around Kangeyanallur claiming to provide assistance in buying lands, vehilces, scholarship etc.  He had collected upto Rs.2,27,000/- Police are investigating whether the trust was started to receive funds from Church organisations abroad.
