Commemorating the
National Youth Day, Vivekananda Youth forum organized a programme for college
students at Vel’s College Pallavaram.
800 students representing 15-20 from 36 colleges of Chennai, 43 NSS
Project officers, 41 College Administrators and Principals attended the
programme. A video show on Punya Bhumi
Bharatham was shown to the students. VIT
Chairman Vishwanathan, R K Raghavan, former CBI Director, K.Kumaraswamy, Uttar
Tamilnadu Prant Karyavah addressed the gathering. Shri B Prakash, Prant Vidyarthi Pramuk
appealed the youth to take oath.
Accordingly, entire students present enthusiastically took oath on ‘No
alcohol drinking’; ‘No drug’; will educate the co-students and take this
message to the society. Further they
also took oath to serve a village monthly.
College wise discussions were conducted for action plan. Vivekananda
Jayanthi is celebrated all over the country and pushpanjali was performed at
various places.

6000 for 12 kilometers in Krishnagiri district was conducted.
