Incessant rains and landslides
in Uttrakhand had caused a great havoc wherein nearly 60000 pilgrims were
stranded and hundreds were found dead, causing extensive damage. Rescue operations
were going on a war-footing. Swayamsevaks
of RSS along with Army, BSF, ITBP, are engaged in rescue and relief operations.
VHP has appealed to put the affected devotees’ care as the only goal at this
time of tragedy.
