A 11 floor building collapsed due to heavy rain at Moulivakkam which is nearest to Chennai, Porur yesterday (28-6-2014) evening.
After hearing this sad news, around 50 RSS Swayamsevaks immediately went the spot. They involved in relief activities like making paths to cranes & other rescue vehicles, helped in disposal of dead bodies, safeguarding the injured persons, drinking water facilities etc till this morning. As per government report 10-12 people were dead, 15 people injured. National Disaster Management Authority (NDMA) took possession of the relief activity from today morning 6AM.
According to our seva karyakarthas report from the accident ground around 35-40 persons feared to be dead.
