FINS youth pledges to safeguard our Nation
‘Sarhad ko Pranam” a unique program organized
by Forum for Integrated National Security (FINS) with an aim to spread the
awareness about National Security. Over 8000 youngsters from across the country have
visited the 15000 Km long border between 19th Nov and 23rd Nov and have seen for
themselves the grim situation at the border. From Tamilnadu, 284 youth
participated from 40 jillas. Some of the experiences shared by the swayamsevaks
are given below:

Even after 65 years of Independence, we can
find villages without the basic amenities like Electricity, Water, Schools,
Colleges, Roads and Hospitals etc. One
can find hardly only one School (Ekal Vidyalaya). People have to travel not less than 20-45 kms
for procurement for day to day life, irrespective any monsoon or rain or summer.
Since no electricity is found near the borders, infiltration is easy and free
for infiltrators. Villages like Dalu in
Meghalaya, Tribals of West Garo Hills face the tough situation. Communication which in today’s life is a
basic amenity is lacking at the border region.
BSF has a tough time in safeguarding the BOP’s. BSF men are sincere and doing their job well.

not aware of our National Flag. One of the students on seeing the tricolour

Total Cease Fire has been imposed on the
Meghalaya Border. BSF jawans find tough
time to control infiltrators. They have
to talk politely and send them back to their nation. But Bangladeshi’s has no such laws.

In one of the village named Sibbari, the
fencing runs inside the houses and it cuts a total of 20 houses, a Durga
temple, a weekly market place etc. the
people are fighting with the Indian Government that the fencing to be built
including all the areas that are presently out of fencing.

FINS youth have pledged that not an inch of
our land will be let out at the borders and will safeguard our Nation at any
cost.
