Rally for Hindu Munnani cadres was not allowed by the local police. After a tough fight in the High Court, permission was granted just before the Conference to be commenced. Immediately after receiving the permission from High Court at Madras, thousands of Hindu Munnani cadres participated in the rally with great enthusiasm.
