She was going for darshan after observing 41 days vruta; she carried traditional irumudikettu. She was stopped at Marakkoottam, and she immediately declared that she was observing hunger strike. She requested to grant permission for darshan. She promised that she would come down from Sabarimala and was ready to court arrest. But, by 2.30 am police arrested and took her to Ranni police station. She continues her hunger strike there.
Hundreds of devotees are congregating in front of the station and chanting namajapam. It is a blatant violation of the right to worship. The same police had given 200 strong security to atheist, sexual anarchist and kiss of love leader Rahna Fathima for facilitating her temple visit. She was even provided police uniform for effective camouflage. Interestingly she had claimed that she was carrying used sanitary napkin in her fabricated irumutikkettu.
