Jammu. Purmandal Uttarvahini Tirath Seva Nyas Jammu & Kashmir held an impressive function at Purmandal which was addressed by Suresh Joshi (Bhaiyya Ji Joshi) Sarkaryavah of RSS. Others present on dais were Ram krishan Das, Brig. Suchet Singh Ji Prant Sanghchalk J&K.
Sarkaryavah Ji in his address said that this Tirth is a living deity powerful enough to give strength to our Country. This is a 2500 year old pilgrimage Center an inspiration to all. In Indian tradition, rivers and trees and all living beings are considered elements of God. He further added that this was the reason why Hindus are tolerant and are liked by countries all over the world for being peaceful and respectful to all people of the world. Need of the hour was to remove all our collective impurity and accord highest respect to women and daughters. This is the only way to make ourselves modern. He quoted from scripture and Indian philosophers and added that Hindu should revisit their consciousness.
Bhaiyya Ji Joshi laid stress on need to make environment clean and only worshiping the nature and river will not make them clean. He stressed the need to focus on – Ganga, Prithvi, Gao mata (all living being), Prakirti (Nature) and women. These five mothers he said are axis of human consciousness. If these five mothers are taken care of all the ills of human beings will be removed. He gave a call to keep the temples and pilgrimage centers clean. He said that Hindus will construct temple of Shri Ram at Ayodhya because Ram is the vital force of Indian culture.
Suresh Ji Chairman of Purmandal Seva nyas tirath gave a historical and cultural significance of Purmandal. He said earlier it was a cultural centre whose fame had spread upto Lahore, Sialkot and Himachal Pardesh. He informed that the new trust will help in the upliftIing its face and make it an important pilgrimage centre as has now fallen into oblivion. He informed about the various constructive actions to be taken over by the Nyas. He informed that efforts are being taken to promote Sanskrit language and its teaching among the new generation.
On the occasion a book on the importance of “Purmandal Mokshadayni Gupt Ganga” was released. This book is composed by various authors of Bhartiya ITIHAS SANKALAN SIMITI Jammu & Kashmir.
Earlier Jawahar lal Ji honoured Bhaiyya ji with traditional pagh. Joginder Sharma and Anil Choudary presented Shawl to Bhaiya Ji Joshi.
On the occasion Yagya was performed in 31 yagya kunds headed by Acharya Shiv Prassad Ji. Thousand of people from all walks of life attended the function. Prasad was distributed to the devotees after the conclusion of the function.
