Swayamsevaks at relief work #KeralaFloods

RSS and Sevabharathi Tamilnadu Volunteers from the last few days have been working round the clock to mobilize tonnes of relief materials like Water Bottles, Food items, Biscuits, Emergency Medicines, new Clothes, Rice Bags, Cereals etc. 
As on 19th August 2018, we have dispatched 12 TRUCKS of about 95 tonnes of RELIEF materials to Palakkad, Kerala. 
This includes 1 Lakh Water Bottles, 25 tonnes of Rice bags, 15 tonnes of Biscuit packets, 5 tonnes of Vegetables and Rs. 5 lakhs worth of medicines and new clothes. This will be distributed to the victims through our volunteers. 
Our main relief material collection centre is being operated from Sevabharathi Tamilnadu headoffice at #79, Dr. Alagappa Road, Purasawalkam, Chennai- 84. 
Apart from Chennai centre, many relief materials / trucks are also being dispatched from other locations in Tamilnadu, Erode, Salem, Hosur, Namakkal etc. 
Based on the need from Kerala, we are appealing for Cleaning and disinfection items like Phenol, Dettol, Sanitizers, Anti Bacterial Cleaners etc. Anyone willing to help on this, can drop their valuable contributions to the above address. Contact number: +91 6379267872 
The above trucks were flagged of by prominent personalities in society like Shri. Thiagarajan Shanmugam, Chairman- Green Grid Group of Companies and his daughter Ms. Rukmani Thiagarajan, Shri. M. Veerabahu, Editor- Vijayabharatam and many others. 
The prominent donors and contributors include, 
Sastra University, Green Grid Corporation, Chennai Rajasthani Business community, RYA Madras Metro Trust-Chennai Food Bank, Zoho Corporation Pvt Ltd-Guduvancherry, Sriram Finance, Chennai Goods Transport Association, IBM-DLF Porur, Indian Oil Corporation-North Chennai Retail Sales centre, Rotary Club of Chennai Pinnacle, Vivekananda Vidyalaya Schools and many others.
